- 140g Plain Flour
- 1 tsp (level) Baking Powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 130ml milk
- 2tbsp Caster Sugar
- 1 Large Egg (beaten)
- 2tbsp Melted Butter
Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into a large bowl
Stir in the caster sugar
In a measuring jug, measure out the milk and then crack in the egg and 1 tbsp melted butter. Whisk together until pale and creamy.
Add the wet ingredients into the flour mixture and beat well until there are no more lumps.
(Add some Cocoa powder if you want chocolate flavoured pancakes)
Melt some butter in a pan and add a large spoon of mixture and cook until there are burst bubbles on the surface. Flip over and cook on the other side for 3 minutes.
Repeat until all the mixture is used.
Serve with syrup, cooked bacon or fruit…..The choice is yours
