The World Around Us Curriculum

The World around us encourages children’s natural curiosity and answers some of their questions about the world they live in from the perspectives of Geography, History, Science, different cultures and religious beliefs. The World Around Us promotes an enquiry-based approach to learning and children are encouraged to pick their own topics that inspire them, this enables children to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of our world. It also helps pupils to understand their environment, how it has changed over time and how we interact with our world.

Children often ask profound questions about themselves and the nature of the world around them. This area of Learning helps children find the answers to some of those questions.
